Understand Your Vesting Schedule
Vesting contracts release tokens over time — e.g., 25% at TGE, then linearly over 12 months. Find your exact schedule in the project's tokenomics docs or investor agreement.
Check Claimable Amount
On Etherscan, go to your vesting contract → "Read Contract" → call claimableAmount(yourAddress). This shows exactly how much is unlocked right now.
Claim What's Vested
Even if you can't access all tokens, partially vested amounts can usually be claimed anytime. Go to the vesting portal or call "claim()" directly on Etherscan.
Do Not Try to Transfer Locked Tokens
Locked tokens are held by the vesting contract, not your wallet. You can't transfer or sell them until released. Attempts to do so will simply revert.
