Tokens Disappeared After Transfer

You completed a transfer and your tokens vanished — they didn't arrive at the destination and left your wallet.

MissingDisappearedTransferLost

This guide covers 5 verified steps to resolve "Tokens Disappeared After Transfer". Follow each step in order before moving to the next. If the steps below don't resolve your issue, use the community support options at the bottom of this page.

01

Get the Transaction Hash Immediately

Open your wallet's transaction history and find the outgoing transfer. Copy the transaction hash (TxID). This is your proof of what happened and where the funds went.

02

Trace the Funds on Block Explorer

Paste the TxID into Etherscan, BscScan, or the relevant explorer. The "To" field shows exactly where the funds were sent. If it's not your intended address, the wrong address was used.

03

Check If Transaction Actually Failed

If the explorer shows "Failed", your tokens were never actually sent. They remain in your wallet. The balance deduction you saw was a UI glitch — refresh your wallet or switch RPC providers.

04

Wrong Address Sent

If funds went to an unintended address and it's a random wallet, recovery is not possible on most blockchains — transactions are irreversible. If the address belongs to an exchange, contact their support immediately with the TxID.

05

Check for Clipboard Hijacking

Some malware replaces copied wallet addresses with the attacker's address. If the address in the explorer doesn't match what you intended to send to, your clipboard was compromised. Run a full malware scan and move all remaining funds from a clean device immediately.
